Hightech faucets

   Posted by: michy   in General

Have you been to the new washrooms in Ayala Cebu?  I really like their new faucets for they have sensors on them where the water would flow when it senses your hands are under them or shots of once your hands are out of range.  I hoped to have those kind of faucets in our company washroom for first, they will help save water and you wouldn’t have to worry about stuck up dials.   Hehehe… I was actually hoping that they would change the faucets when they fixed our washroom but they didn’t.  Anyway, the problem was not with the faucets so why change them right?

Goodbyes always comes with sadness

   Posted by: michy   in General

Today, the Filipino nation bids farewell to Former President Cory Aquino who died last August 1, 2009. She may not be the greatest President that this nation had but I’d say that she is the most sincere that I have ever known. If you would measure the greatness of a president by numbers like GDPs she may fall short in that regard. However, if we would measure her in terms of influence, which most leaders believe is the true measure of leadership, people would agree when I say that she had exceeded all expectations. President Cory Aquino’s term has ended in 1992 but she never failed to come forward everytime that the nation needs someone to voice out their concerns especially when the democracy of the nation is threatened. Her sincerity made her closer to the Filipino people and made her one of the most influential personality in the country. The out pouring of the the Filipino people to accompany her to her resting place is a clear indication of how influential she is and how she is loved. Her departure brought tears and sadness to most Filipinos but I hope that along with that sadness, her departure would bring hope to us and continue to remember that change will always come from us. If we want something we should make the first step and continue to fight for what we believe in.

Dad’s Birthday is coming…

   Posted by: michy   in General

My dad’s turning 64 this year and I’d love to get him one of those HDTV.  Damn!  I know he would love to see a plasma tv in our living room as a present for his birthday but getting him one would definitely hurt my pocket.  Gosh, like a plasma tv can cost as much as 100K in the Philippines.  Tsk, tsk, tsk.  Too bad, I ain’t as rich as some folks are.  But I guess that’s what you get for not having your own business.  I really should start investing or else, I would end up depending on a pension that might not even be enough for my expenses when I retire.  Hay…

One boring day…

   Posted by: michy   in General

6am in the Philippines and I’ve only been up for 2 hours and I’m bored. How can this be? It’s my RD and yet I won’t be doing anything today. No badminton, no swimming and no work. Sheesh… I was watching Hana Kimi few weeks ago but I no longer want to continue watching it for I might fall further for Wu Chun who is like the epitome of my ideal guy. Anyhow, I wanted to watch Criminal Minds but I can’t seem to find that account that I usually visit in this site on the web. So here I am trying to come up with things to do to entertain myself.  I guess I will just hit the sack once more and sleep.  Maybe I will find something to do later.

Does it really work?

   Posted by: michy   in General

Do diet supplements really work?  Some people say that it does, some people say that it doesn’t.  Well, if you know these people and you could see the changes you’ll probably agree to what they’ve said.  But why is it then that some people gets the expected result while the others don’t?  So could it be that some people are doing some things that the others are not doing?  Hmmm…  If that is so, then one cannot just read about the testimonials of these consumers.  We should be asking them then, what are the things that they’re doing while they were taking these supplements.  Did they add more activities in their daily routine?  Did they change their diets?  So what I am getting at is if you would consider going for the pills, don’t content yourself with mere testimonials, ask your friends what were the steps that they took to achieve their goals with the help of the pills.

Am an addict

Posted by: michy   in Friends friends and friends

Whoaah!!! Facebook is so addicting.  I realized that I have been spending a lot of time in it than I normally would.  But what can I do, it’s how we would normally stay connected after work.  For aside from placing comments on the “Status” or shout outs of your friends, you also get the opportunity to chat with them through the built in chat feature.  And not to mention the hundreds and thousands of quizzes that you can take and hundreds and thousands of games that you can play along with your friends.  Right now, the game of the lot is Farmtown.  Sheeshh, we would normally ask each other if there are any crops to harvest in one another’s farm and then would try to outdo one another just to get hired in harvesting and plowing the farm of the other player.  We would even ask each other what time they’ll go online so that we could meet up on the net and play together.  Hay… It’s like being a kid once again and asking your friends to go out and play with you.  Hahaha…

Former President Cory Aquino Ill

   Posted by: michy   in General

It’s sad to hear that one of the people who became the instrument to help bring back the Democracy in the Philippines is sick.  I know a lot of people are sorry to hear that former President Aquino is sick and wondering how she got sick and how she’s doing right now.  Cancer of any type is really a mystery for me.  I mean how do these things develop?  And how can we avoid it?  Will Colon cleansers like Colonetix help?  From what I have read, it is not certain if eating or having a high fiber diet could really help prevent colorectal cancer.  So the question now is will other supplements like colon cleansers help?

Not a very good day…

   Posted by: michy   in Rumblings

I went to sleep last night with colds and woke up this morning with my colds going worse.  And to think I will be working tonight.  How can I handle calls later?  I really hate it when I have colds and I talk on the phone.  With a clogged nose, it really is hard to talk for you can’t breath through your nose.  You have to take in air through your mouth.  I am sure most of the customers would complain that they can’t understand what I say.  Hay, may I skip work later? :-(

I miss the beach

   Posted by: michy   in General

Whoahhhh… Although it’s starting to rain in the Philippines and the weather is getting colder, I still want to go to the beach.  It’s been a while since I’ve been there.   The last trip I had was last May when our team went to Bantayan to get some time off from work.  I’d really want to go to Moalboal.  It’s a tradition for me to go there each year but it seems impossible for this year.  For we have trips lined up until the end of the year.  Our team is already planning to go to Bohol in August.  Sheesh.  I guess I feel the same way as those families who likes going to Outer Banks in the US during summer.  You see Moalboal is one of the top beach destinations in Cebu just like Outer Banks in the US.  Hay… I wish I could go to Moalboal before the year ends.

Whoahhh!!!

Posted by: michy   in Everything and Anything

Look at the time!  I didn’t notice that I was already infront of the computer for more than 4 hours.  And to think I need to meet up with my instructor for my swimming lessons.  Sheesh!  I really need to work on my discipline when it comes to my appointments.  Damn.  I really need to change this thinking that people can always wait for me.  Gotta run and prepare my stuff.  Sheeshh.. I need some warm drink!
