You know it’s kinda weird to see the sign that says Safety First on construction sites and then you would see the construction workers not wearing hard hats or safety glasses while they are inside the sites. You can see these signs in almost all the construction sites here in Cebu, the Insular Life construction site in Ayala, the building beside AVON in the Capitol Area, the condominium building beside I1 in IT Park in Lahug but more often than not, you will see a couple of workers who are not wearing these safety gears. I am not sure why, is it because these construction companies cannot afford to give their people the safety gears that they need? Or maybe they can but they just don’t want to since this is an add-on to their expenses? Or is it these people just choose not to wear them even if have it? If it’s any of the above reasons, then my next question is, why do these reasons exist? Don’t we have a law in the Philippines that covers the safety of the workers? If there’s one then why does are we seeing this kind of infractions? I know this is like a small thing but if you would come to think of it, a lot of people can benefit from this law. Both the worker and the company will benefit from it. So I hope the construction companies who doesn’t implement simple safety regulations in their company should consider the benefits of having one in the long run. If we don’t have this law in the Philippines then this is one suggestion that our lawmakers can take. If we have one, the lawmakers better visit it again and make sure that it gets strict implementation. Goodness! Think of the families of this laborers!
It’s been over 4 years and I still can’t get enough of CSI Las Vegas. Yes, like everyone else I was sad when Grissom left the show and honestly, I really don’t know if he’s back yet since I was not able to see the new episodes yet but that doesn’t make me lesser a fan compared to someone who had seen everyting. But anyway, I am trying to catch up. I am on season 8 now and hopefully the time would come when I can say that I have done watching season 10 with my head held high.
Nyahaha…
I am thinking of putting up a business after I leave my job, but it’s not anytime soon. However, I am worried about where will I get the money that I need to put up the business that I want to put up. My vision is to change the dining scene back home. It’s a bit ambitious so I need might need to have a big capital to sustain it on the first few months of operation. Finding the perfect place back home is easy it’s the money to put up the business that makes it a challenge. Some people would apply business loans to get the capital that they need but I am scared that I might not be able to keep up with the mortgage and the operating expenses of the business. I have had Personal Loans and I tell you, if my income isn’t fix, I might have ended in jail for not paying it on time. But, thank GOD, I have a good paying job so I am able to keep up with the monthly mortgage and my daily expenses.
Another fear that I have is the term Unsecured Loans. I don’t know how would that affect me as a consumer or a business owner but I sure don’t want to like the sound of that. Anyway, there are a lot of Small Business Loans available out there even in my home town, but there, I am scared to start a business using money from loans for it will be an expense on top of your operating expenses.
Well, it’s time to leave for work. Hope I won’t be late today. Whew, I think I have a lot of things to do today. I have a meeting at 3AM, a triad with some of the team leaders at 1am, a QMS to upload, a couple of DRIs, some estart scrubs and coaching! Whoahhhh… come to think of it, these are a lot to cram into an 8 hour shift. Sheesh…
A few French words that I came by bourse, mutuelle pas cher and calcul pret immobilier. I really don’t have an idea of what these words and phrases means so you will have to correct me if I am wrong. According to the translator tool of Google called Google translate, bourse could mean sholarship, grant, purse, award, stipend, pouch, exhibition and change. Mutuelle means mutual, pas means not, cher could mean dear, expensive, costly, priced, precious, pricey and at a premium but if you put them together mutuelle pas cher means mutal cheap. Calcul pre immobilier on the other hand means calculation estate loan.
So if these transations are correct then if I would use them in a sentence, my sentence would be:
You are lucky to find a real estate company who will bourse you a calcul pret immobilier that is mutuelle pas cher.
Hahaha, it’s kinda like I am doing Taglish (mixing Tagalog and English). Now, that’s some Frenglish for you. hehehe…
I was really surprised when they informed me that I will have to do a skip level yesterday. Like I didn’t know that I have to make one until one of my colleagues informed me that I am one of those who will present it. Hay, that’s one of the set backs of not having a station during the shift. Anyway, they decided that I can just present it next week. Haller, mine isn’t as easy as the others for although I only have one team, they are divided into two groups which means I technically have two teams.
I don’t know how it is in other countries but in the Philippines, people have made business out of almost anything! I remember there is a cooperative in Payatas where people makes bags out of tetra packs of juices and stuff. You can even find shops in Recto, the university belt of the Philippines, that offer writing services to students who are having a though time making their thesis. I am not sure though if they offer essay writing services for you to buy custom essays. But I am sure though that we will find people there who can make your thesis for you to meet your requirements to finish school. Funny, for I heard that some of these shops would just copy some of the texts from somewhere and some would just rephrase the sentences but if you read it carefully the thought will be the same as the previous ones that they have created and sold to other people. I wonder if the teachers of those students really took the time to look into the papers that was submitted to them. Hahaha… I guess this is the reason why Ateneo De Manila has strict rules on plagiarism. They want to make sure that their students will really make their own thesis. And to prove that they are serious, they do not give any consideration to whoever commits them. They would even punish their own faculty members who commit such offense. But then again, you cannot stop these companies who wants to provide such services for there really is a demand for it.
Whooppeeee!!! I will be going to work in a few hours and this is my last day of work for the week. Oh, now I remember, I need to wear something like a rockstar for we have a theme day today. It’s employee appreciation day today and to make it fun, the Employee Engagement team decided to have a theme day. Now, isn’t that lovely? hehehe… So that means, my skip level presentation will really happen next week. Hahaha… that means I still have time to work on it over the weekend. Whohooo… Hehehe…
My friend pointed out a car that he wanted to buy when we were on our way to Mcdonald’s for lunch last week. I told him that it might not be a good idea since I heard that the accessories for the said brand are hard to find. He said “really?”. I told him that I am not sure though and told him to check the autoshops to make sure. Well, he’s not really into supping up cars, but I realized that like most men, he likes cars. However, checking the availability of the accessories and body parts of a car is not just for suppin up cars, it is one of the considerations to consider if you wanna purchase a car.
Aha! I think that’s the reason why his pickup truck is still in the repair shop. I remember that whenever we have a problem with the SUV that we used to use in the research project on S. japonicum, a parasite fund in the rice fields, a few years back it would take a while for it to be fixed. We would normally wait for the weekend before we take it to the shop. I remember telling our driver that I like to have an SUV like the one that we are using. I remember that he told me if I would consider buying an SUV, I should consider getting an SUV from another car manufacturer for the spare parts for that particular brand is really hard to find. I guess that’s the reason why we would usually wait for weeks before something can get replaced. Which makes me wonder if this is the same for most manufacturers. But I think this is not true for Ford accessories because, if I am not mistaken, Kris Aquino got a Ford car a few years back and she said that Ford has a manufacturing plant in Laguna. Now, knowing that the company who built your car is within reach would be such a relief wouldn’t it for if you will have a problem, then it would be easy to have it fixed right?
