You know it’s kinda weird to see the sign that says Safety First on construction sites and then you would see the construction workers not wearing hard hats or safety glasses while they are inside the sites. You can see these signs in almost all the construction sites here in Cebu, the Insular Life construction site in Ayala, the building beside AVON in the Capitol Area, the condominium building beside I1 in IT Park in Lahug but more often than not, you will see a couple of workers who are not wearing these safety gears. I am not sure why, is it because these construction companies cannot afford to give their people the safety gears that they need? Or maybe they can but they just don’t want to since this is an add-on to their expenses? Or is it these people just choose not to wear them even if have it? If it’s any of the above reasons, then my next question is, why do these reasons exist? Don’t we have a law in the Philippines that covers the safety of the workers? If there’s one then why does are we seeing this kind of infractions? I know this is like a small thing but if you would come to think of it, a lot of people can benefit from this law. Both the worker and the company will benefit from it. So I hope the construction companies who doesn’t implement simple safety regulations in their company should consider the benefits of having one in the long run. If we don’t have this law in the Philippines then this is one suggestion that our lawmakers can take. If we have one, the lawmakers better visit it again and make sure that it gets strict implementation. Goodness! Think of the families of this laborers!

It’s been over 4 years and I still can’t get enough of CSI Las Vegas. Yes, like everyone else I was sad when Grissom left the show and honestly, I really don’t know if he’s back yet since I was not able to see the new episodes yet but that doesn’t make me lesser a fan compared to someone who had seen everyting. But anyway, I am trying to catch up. I am on season 8 now and hopefully the time would come when I can say that I have done watching season 10 with my head held high.

I am thinking of putting up a business after I leave my job, but it’s not anytime soon. However, I am worried about where will I get the money that I need to put up the business that I want to put up. My vision is to change the dining scene back home. It’s a bit ambitious so I need might need to have a big capital to sustain it on the first few months of operation. Finding the perfect place back home is easy it’s the money to put up the business that makes it a challenge. Some people would apply business loans to get the capital that they need but I am scared that I might not be able to keep up with the mortgage and the operating expenses of the business. I have had Personal Loans and I tell you, if my income isn’t fix, I might have ended in jail for not paying it on time. But, thank GOD, I have a good paying job so I am able to keep up with the monthly mortgage and my daily expenses.
Another fear that I have is the term Unsecured Loans. I don’t know how would that affect me as a consumer or a business owner but I sure don’t want to like the sound of that. Anyway, there are a lot of Small Business Loans available out there even in my home town, but there, I am scared to start a business using money from loans for it will be an expense on top of your operating expenses.
