Feels like MDP all over again…

Posted by: michy   in What Goes On At Work

Training Day 1 is done and I was right.  Junyx is the facilitator of our training.  It felt like MDP all over again with the exception of my co-trainees though.  But anyhow, he’s still the same old Junyx.  Funny and very accomodating.  And oh, demanding too.   Hehehe…  It’s really fascinating to see people who can keep a discussion interesting for everyone who has different backgrounds in a room.   These is the reason why I can never be a trainer.  I mean it’s really hard to get the attention of a certain number of people and keep them for the next 8 hours.  Having Junyx as a trainer makes me miss my MDP wave mates though.  I hope we will be able to get together one of these days.

Weight loss pills

   Posted by: michy   in General

I think I could never stress it enough that if you are planning to loss weight through diet pills always, always investigate the product that you plan to use like checking on the ingredients that are used in the manufacturing the product and always consult with your physician to make sure that the product that you will be using is safe.  Manufacturers who remind their consumers to do so are both responsible and confident that they will pass the expectations of professionals who will examine them.  Let’s take for instance the drug Anoretix.  Although the said product claims to have 9 patented ingredients, they still recommend for you to consult your doctor if this will be the best product for your weight loss needs.  Which is good for although a said product passed the requirements of goverment bureaus like the FDA for instance, it doesn’t mean that it will work for you.  So always go back and ask for your doctors recommendation.

Will be on training…

Posted by: michy   in What Goes On At Work

Whoopee!!!  I will be on training this Monday.  That means, I get to get some time off the floor.  Geez, sometimes, it just gets so tiring to look at the same people for 8 hours for 5 freaking days.  However, this would also mean that I will have lesser chances of seeing my crush for my schedule might be different from the usual.  But nevertheless, I am glad to be off the floor for 3 days and learn something new.  I might get to see my trainer from Manila again.  Lovely!

The day has ended…

Well, it seems my brother have decided to go somewhere else.  I guess I will have to eat the garlic bread later for it is now time for me to get some sleep.  I really wonder why I went on leave yesterday when I didn’t have anywhere to go.  I could have gone on leave today instead for I will be on RD tomorrow.  Tsk, that was one wasted leave credit.  But I was glad I went to the office earlier for I saw my crush from the other account in the pantry.  Hehehe… Could it be that we are fated for each other?  For we would usually see each other on unexpected circumstances (I would usually see him when least expected).   One time I was with some friends and when I looked up he was passing by our table and looked down at me as I looked up, another time I saw him on the eleventh floor while the elevator door was closing and he looked and stared at me and then the pantry.  You know it’s weird.  We would usually end up looking at each other.  I mean people can be at the same place and time but it’s not always that these two people will get to look at the other at the same time right?  Hmmm…  Could he be my honorable fire fighter who seem to pop up from nowhere?  I mean that’s how soul mates are right?  They tend to feel the presence of the other.   Hahaha… Fantasies.  But I wouldn’t mind.  He’s cute anyway. ;-)

My Spaghetti in Red Sauce with Pan Seared Chicken Breast with Basil

My Spaghetti in Red Sauce with Pan Seared Chicken Breast with Basil

My brother and I are craving for good food and decided to have sphagetti for today’s lunch.  So after doing the tasks that I needed to do in the office, I went straight to Robinson’s Supermarket to buy the ingredients that I needed.  It took me two hours preparing the food but I guess it’s all worth the wait.  The kitchen sinks are a bit of a mess though but that will have to wait for my brother.  Hehehe… Well, sharing the work will definitely make a meal more worthwhile so I will leave that up to him. ;-)  I will have to text him though to pick up some fresh french bread with garlic at Rustan’s to go with the pasta.  Now, all I need to do is wait…

How I wish…

How I wish I could afford to threat my team and my friends on a small getaway. At Bantayan maybe and see them enjoy and smile and forget about their stress at work.  It’s lovely to hear other people laugh and make fun of each other.  I come to love Bantayan through Geraldine and Kristha.  Geraldine for she paved way to me having a connection to the locals by meeting some of her family who lives in Bantayan who happens to own the Balikbayan Restaurant there.  They even prepared a wonderful dinner for my team.  Kristha because she made me walk to a local bakery store to buy “Pandesal” early in the morning.   We went to the town and saw one of the oldest churches in the Philippines.  These are small experiences but gave me a small glimpse of how the locals live their every day life.  Now that I am writing about our trip to Bantayan, I realized that in all of the resorts that we went to, that was the first time that we interacted with the community.  More often than not we would stay inside the resort walls and leave for a tourist spot and then go back to the resort.  And I also realized how much experience I actually missed.  Hmmm…

Here are some of the pictures that I took during our trip to Bantayan.

Faucets…

   Posted by: michy   in General

delta-faucetI was looking through some pictures on faucets and I stumbled into this one.  I find this piece from Delta Faucet quite interesting.  Instead of your usual stainless steel, this one is made of bronze, which kinda brings the old world feel into a modern kitchen.  Hmmm… If I get to have my own house and design my own kitchen, I’d definitely go for this one.  And yep, a brick wall is exactly what I want for my kitchen wall.  But I’d bring in some modern stuff as well like that Whirlpool refrigerator that I have always wanted at SM and that La Germania Oven for baking.  Hehehe…

I watched Boys Over Flowers, the Korean remake of Hana Yori Dango, for the past couple of days (yup it was kinda long) and there was this scene where Ji Hoo (Kim Hyung Joon) told Jan Di (Koo Hye Sun) that he will be her honorable fire fighter. I know that it’s kinda impossible but I sure do love to have someone who will be behind my back no matter what. I mean even just the thought of having someone like “Ji Hoo” who seem to know exactly when to show up and helps without asking anything back is a very tempting thought. I mean I wouldn’t mind not having a boyfriend just as long as I have that someone like him. It’s just sad though that in this story, Jan Di was not able to reciprocate his love. Although he was Jan Di’s first love they didn’t end up together for by the time he realized that he loves Jan Di, she already fell for Jun Pyo (Lee Min Ho). Yup, it’s just like the song “I Love You Came Too Late” by Joey McIntyre. Tsk, tsk, tsk… Too bad. But nevertheless, he never stopped loving and helping Jan Di. Hay… I wonder where my own honorable fire fighter is…

When the going gets tough…

   Posted by: michy   in General

Don’t you just wish that your favorite store accepts credit card for the payment of your purchases? Especially when they go on sale. Tsk, tsk, tsk. However, as a consumer I do understand how a small store owner feels about credit card payments. Well, at times it does take a while for it to be settled by the credit card companies. Although there are companies like Total Merchandise Services that helps out small businesses in credit card processing but they are quite a few that gives great offers and services like free installation of the credit card processing equipment, giving out of advises on how to optimize credit card transactions for the benefit of your business and etc. Although, purchasing through credit cards is not always the “wise” way to go for a consumer like me, at times, it just becomes a necessity. So it will definitely an advantage for a business to accept credit cards, I mean we’ll just never know right?

Beauty Queen Fired

Posted by: michy   in Everything and Anything

carrie-prejeanI didn’t realize that Beauty Queens can be fired not until Donald Trump and the Miss California USA Organization fired the reigning Miss California Carrie Prejean.  Sheesh!  OMG Yahoo said she got fired because she was unwilling to fulfill her contract.  Talk about serious business.  From what I know most beauty queens get fired because of controversy, this is the first time that I’ve heard of someone being fired because of not fulfilling her responsibilities.  Like how hard is it to do your job right?  Tsk, tsk, tsk.
