I just don’t know what happened but I was not able to get into certain websites using my pc.  Even going to MSN messenger was a challenge.  It started on April 2nd after I downloaded IE8 for my Vista pc and so I was thinking it was because of that so I uninstalled IE8 and yet the issue was still there.  I tried a lot of things and was already in a panic and is already on the verge of re-installing my Vista.  Good thing though that I remembered reading about the Conficker virus and what it does so I researched on what I can do.  I came to the Microsoft website and saw an article on troubleshooting computers that maybe infected by the virus.  It was a challenge for me.  Why?  Because my beloved pc kept on giving me a web cannot be displayed error everytime I go to a page. I had to refresh it a lot of times before I can get into the site.  On that trouble shooting page Microsoft did say that I may not be able to download the Malicious Software Removal Tool and Windows Live Onecare if I had the virus.  But I tried it anyway.  Yes it was true.  I cannot go through to safety.live.com site.  So I went through tried to download the Malicious Software Removal Tool and was succesful after the second time I did it.  I had it scanned my pc and it was not able to see anything but when I tried to get into safety.live.com, it let me.  I ran a Windows live onecare scan and boom there were 3 malicious ware there but I was not able to see what it was for it was time for me to go to work.  Coincidence?  I don’t know but when I turned on my pc today and visited the sites that I usually go to, I was able to get into them.  Thank God!
