TV stands can make a great impact in ones viewing pleasure.  If you will be able to find that perfect height and size for your television set, no matter how cheap and small it is, it will give you the same pleasure as an expensive tv set could give.  And if you have great taste, a TV stand can become one of the interesting pieces in your home aside from its being there for it’s function.

Although I am pretty excited that I will be going home an hour early each working day, I am pretty sad too because this would mean I will have to wake up an hour early to report to work an hour early.  What’s so sad about it?  Well, I work in the evening and I always think of having an hour asleep in the evening is a blessing.  Since my schedule was moved to 8 PM then that means I will have to wake up at 6 PM to prepare for work.  Although I can still get 6 hours of sleep that will still be like you had a nap and woke up late.  Hay…

Disability Insurance is a type of insurance that insures our income once our disability prohibits us from working for the rest of our lives. However, like the other types of insurance, it’s coverage and benefits will depend on what a beneficiary purchases. However, it really is a comfort to know that if ever life drops a surprise (an unpleasant surprise) we have something that will help us to face it. Always remember that in life anything is possible. Even the healthiest among us can become sick or can have an accident that will prohibit them to do even the simplest task.

I’ve always been a fan of Francis Magalona.  He is the only Filipino Rapper that I love.  Not just because he is a good rapper but he had helped awaken the patriotism of my generation.  It’s just sad that he had to pass away at the age of 44.  He could have done a lot more for the music industry of the Philippines for he is a great song writer as well.  Here’s my favorite Francis M. song… Kaleidoscope World from his Freeman Album.

I love being part of a club.  Clubs like Disney Movie Club.  Not just because of the sense of belongingness but the benefits of being a member.   Benefits like getting discounts, getting the newest product available and for some clubs,  you get inside scopes.  But I think the most important benefit is being one of the top priority if the club will have activities to roll out.  But as a club member, one still needs to be aware of the limitations that goes along with being a member.  For some clubs, like the Disney Movie Club, team members get discounts on your movie purchases however, you can only purchase them using credit cards may it be an online purchase or a phone purchase.  You also need to pay attention to the regular mailings from the club to know what movies are available since not all new movie releases will be available immediately that way, you will know when the movie will be available.  Another limitation is you have to place your order ASAP to make sure that you will get the movies as soon as it is available for there is a possibility that it will go out of stock and it might take a while for you to get them.  So if you have plans in being a member of a certain club, it’s always good to look at the limitations and weigh which club could give us more advantage.

We finally had our first out of town team building.  It’s just sad that not everyone went.  But anyhow, I am happy that we had some time off and spent it with one another.  We had Icebreaker, it seems that my team loves to play this game.  Some cried, some laughed and others loved to share their 2 cents to everyone.  I just hope everyone had a great time for I did.  And I have a tan skin to prove it! hehehe….

My brother and his colleagues ate at a local restaurant in Orchid Street, Cebu.  Now along with 4 other members of their team, he has LBM and vomitted twice.  And worse, he has fever.  I was thinking that he might have gotten it from somewhere else or it was his gastrointiritis again, but he told me that 4 other people are sick, I then agreed that it must be the food that they had.  This kind of scenario is not new to seafood restaurants here.  So if you plan to eat in one anytime soon, make sure that the area is clean and that the food they serve is fresh.  Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Honestly, I don’t drink wine.  This is because I get rashes and have a very bad headache the day after I drink wine.  But, one thing is for sure though, I love the aroma it brings to the food that I cook.  And when one is done cooking, you can sense a bit of a fruitty after taste after each bite.  And I don’t get any rashes after I eat dishes with wine in them.  So yeah, I guess I am just allergic to the alcohol content of wines.  I have tried different kinds of wines for the dishes that I cook.  And right now, what I have in our pantry is a semi-sweet white wine.  I like this wine in making pasta sauces for it’s sweet.  I don’t know if that conforms to the law of cooking for professional chefs but you know how Filipinos are… We like our pasta sauce to be a bit sweet.  I also used this wine to cook my favorite dish…  Beef Caldereta!  I guess you can consider this wine as my wine of the month!
