My side of the story

   Posted by: michy   in General

I was watching Criminal minds Episode 17 (Demonology) when I heard this song.  I like the song for the lyrics is a good representation of how it feels to be troubled and it seems like nobody is there to turn to (well, I had felt the same way every once in a while).

My side of the story by Hodges.

A cold wind blows
I am shivering
My body aches
As my heart is breaking
Why is life making me hollow?
Why is happiness casting me in the shadows?
In the shadow

Hold on, don’t turn and walk away
Save me
And I cried these words
But nobody came

I’m all alone
Running scared
Losing my way in the dark
I tried to get up
Stand on a prayer
But I keep crashing down hard

This is my side of the story
Only My side of the story
Nobody cares
Nobody’s there
No one will hear
My side of the story

Emptiness is all around me
I try to catch my breath
Barely surving
I can’t go on
I Come undone
There’s nothing left in me

Hold on
Don’t turn and walk away
Save me
And I cry these words
But nobody came

I’m alone
Running scared
Losing my way in the dark
I tried to get up
Stand on a prayer
But I keep crashing down hard

This is my side of the story
Only my burden to bear
But nobody cares
Nobody’s there
Nobody will hear….

As I hold out
As I fold in
I cry these words
But nobody came

I’m all alone
Running scared
Losing my way in the dark
I tried to get up
Stand on a prayer
But I keep crashing down hard

This is my side of the story
Only my side of the story
My side of the story
Only my burden to bear

But nobody cares
Nobody’s there
No one will hear
My side of the story

Aaron Spelling’s Manor

   Posted by: michy   in General

aaron-spellings-manor My dream house is a house that is well litted, have high ceilings, a pond and a couple of trees in the backyard.  So if I have $150 million I’ll buy Aaron Spelling’s house.  It has a tennis court, a bowling alley, a skating rink, a doll museum, an orchard, 3 kitchens and a screening room that features a movie projection system that automatically comes up from the floor at the same time that shades extend over the windows aside from a number of other rooms.  But among all that was mentioned, the orchard, the kitchen and the screening room will probably be some of my favorites.  And since 56,600 square feet of living space is too big for me and my family, I’d turn the house into a hotel of some sort.  So that every inch of the house will be utilized and maintained.

My laptop is getting slower!

   Posted by: michy   in General

Sheesh… I wonder where I get some cheap laptop memory.  My computer is running real slow! Grrr…  How could this be?  I’m not even streaming anymore because I’m already tired when I get home from work.  Well, I update my Facebook and Friendster account every now and then and  but that’s it!  Shucks!  I miss watching videos online and chatting with my friends.  But hey, sleep is more important than anything else right?

Trip to see the Dolphins

   Posted by: michy   in General

It seems that our plan to see the dolphins in Dumaguete is going to be postponed.  Shucks!  I was really looking forward in goinf to Bais…  And go to the city and buy that pastry that Alfonso gave me as a pasalubong.  What was the name of that pastry again?  Was that silvanas?  Hay, maybe next time.  But the good news is, some friends and I are going somewhere else this May!  I hope that it will really push through for it’s one of my dream beach destinations.  I’ll tell you about it when I get to go there.  hehehe…

Vacation in San Diego, Ca.

   Posted by: michy   in General

A lot of well off Pinoys likes to go to the US during summer.  I guess it’s for them to avoid the warm weather here.   I’ve never been to the US though so I wonder what it will be like to have a vacation there.  I have read about the climate of San Diego and I think it has the same climate in Baguio.  Based on what I’ve read the during summer it has high temperatures of 70 - 78°F (21 - 26°C) and lows of 55 - 66°F (13 - 19°C), and temperatures exceed 90°F (32°C) 4 days a year. Winter or rainy period of November to April are mild and somewhat rainy with high temperatures of 66 - 70°F (19 - 21°C) and lows of 50 - 56°F (10 - 13°C). Which is really like Baguio but the difference I guess is San Diego is in a coast line while Baguio isn’t.  I am not sure though if there is a beach there for like what I’ve said I’ve never been there but I guess it will be nice to stay in a San Diego hotel near the city’s attractions like the Balboa Park where you can find Spanish/Baroque style buildings (which is something that I love to see and take pictures of) , the USS Midway Museum and of course the Gaslamp Quarter, the home of many festivals in San Diego and a place where one can dine and shop too…

Aren’t we meant to be?

   Posted by: michy   in Rumblings

I was going through the web the other day and I decided to pass by my ultimate crush’s multiply account.  And then I saw his pictures during the Sinulog festival last January.  I browsed through the pictures and then it hit me!  I realized, we really aren’t meant to be.  I mean we were already in one city and yet we didn’t bump into one another.  And the funny thing is, I had made it a promise to myself that I will always attend the Sinulog as a “Panata” (I’ve been attending it for like 3 years in a row) but I decided to stay home this year.  What could be the possible reason then?  It’s obvious right?  The universe does not want us to meet.  I think it doesn’t even want me to get a glance of him in person.  You know I was even in the same spot last year.  The same spot where he stayed and took pictures because it was near Miss Paula’s house :-( .  Tsk, tsk, tsk… You know it’s such a waste that we aren’t meant to be.  Because we do have some things in common like traveling and our passion in taking pictures.  I could have given him a tip or two on taking pictures. Tsk, tsk, tsk… What a waste… Hehehe…

The reason behind my being pissed

   Posted by: michy   in General

I was pissed partly because I won’t be getting the benefit that I am supposed to get.  But what really pissed me off is the result of my being a responsible employee and citizen.  I know how contagious chicken pox can be and I know what is it’s effect.  Effect on your self esteem and you not being able to go out.  And so when I was told that I have the illness, I made sure that I won’t have any contact to anybody to aviod the it’s spread.  I stayed home and when I went out to the clinic, I avoid the masses.  I did not go to the office to help the company by not infecting my fellow employees and so as not to affect the business.  And yet this is what I get!  If only I knew that HR will let me down like this, I should have been selfish and reported to work.  I didn’t know being responsible can cause you harm.  That thinking of other people’s welfare can be this bad.

I know I shouldn’t be saying this for I am part of the management level, but sometimes, I really can’t help but ask myself if staying in this company and fighting for it is really worth it.

Get a toll free number

   Posted by: michy   in General

With the bad experience that happened to me to a government office, I really wish that they would get a toll free number where anyone can call and ask questions.  I have been going through their online help and just like my customers, some of the online help available is just not competent enough.  It’s not as fast and effective as having to talk to someone and have that person answer your inquiry real time.  I still feel bad because I don’t get the reimbursement for my absence but I will have to try to move on.

Pissed off!

   Posted by: michy   in General

There is a transportation strike today.  No jeepneys, a lot of taxis and a whole lot more passengers waiting for  a ride going to where ever they are going.  So I had to walk to the bank which is more than a hundred meters from where I am staying and walk to SSS which is a couple of hundred meters more from the bank that I went to.  I didn’t have much complaints.  It was very important that I go to SSS for my sickness claim for a on got less than a quarter of my pay due to my chicken pox.  So after a 30 minute walk with the sun shining down on me, I arrived at SSS all sweaty and stinky I guess just to be told that I won’t get my benefit as a member for my employer submitted the damn papers beyond the supposed notification period.   @(#*(!*(#&$*@()#)!*#()@*$)(&#@$)!  I can’t f#&$*&% believe it!  Because of the incompetence of some people, my family and I has to suffer.  I don’t get to freaking eat for the next 15 days because my pay wasn’t even enough to pay the rent of the place that I live in!  And because of the f*#&*$* of some offices that is senseless if you will think of it I have to fu*((#*g borrow money just to have money to send home! !*&@#*&*@&$*()#

Getting Life Insurance Terms

   Posted by: michy   in General

You know there are several ways to get term life insurance quotes online.  There’s going to the web page of the insurance company that you want to get the life insurance plan from or you can go to a web page of a company who can link you up to several insurance companies.   I prefer the latter though.  For you can get several insurance quotes from different companies and compare them.  Another advantage of going for such companies is, they have people who can give you an advice on which is the most convenient and more beneficial to prospective plan holders.
