Kathy gave me the Tomorrow Becomes Yesterday album of Bamboo last Christmas. And this is one of the great gifts that I received last year. I’ve been a fan of Bamboo ever since I saw him perform. I’ve been listening to Bamboo since then and I’d say he is one of those very articulate vocalists. When he sings, you can understand the lyrics that he’s singing unlike other singers who has the tendency to eat the words that they’re singing. I really can’t explain their kind of music. It’s alternative rock but quiet? I don’t know but I have a serene feeling when I listen to it. I don’t know, I guess that’s what rock fans feel when they listen to their kind of music. I guess the reason why I have that serene feeling it is because of the social awareness message in some of their songs.
You know honestly, I really can’t put into words why I like Bamboo. I think you have to listen to it for you to understand what it’s like to listen to their music. 
Damn, I didn’t know it takes this much to work on the appraisals of other people. Good thing they came up with a form for us to fill out and I decided to take them home to work on it. Caramba! First day of work after 2 weeks and I am flooded with a lot of things to do. I will be working for 7 straight days this week so that I can finish my tasks for Feb. Tsk, tsk, tsk. The TL ranking for January came out earlier and I am on number 4 I think. I just hope it will remain that way.
Well, my brother is also around while I had chicken pox but the true companion I had during my”difficult” times is my computer. I communicate to other people through it and entertained me through video streaming when I was bored to my wits since my brother was not around all the time. And then I realized that I need to upgrade the RAM of my PC for it takes a while to download things and to open some programs. And so I am in a lookout for a cheap computer memory card (am referring to RAM Cards of course) to add to the 1gig of RAM that I already have. Hopefully that will improve the speed of my PC.
I went to UP Cebu today. I am planning to go back to school next semester. However, I’m not sure if I can get all the documents together by April. I have a bit of a difficulty in getting my Transcripts of Records. My freaking school doesn’t want to let go of my papers which really makes me wonder why. I guess they were still hoping that their students who did not go for a Bachelor degree from them would go back their to study. Like duh! I’d rather start as a freshman if that will be the case.
Anyhow, I got stuck in the bank for almost 2 hours for their server was “updating”. Sheesh! that was the longest bank transaction that I encountered! Hay and for that, I was late when I arrived at Sta. Rosario to attend mass. There were a lot of people in the church today. I guess it’s because it’s Ash Wednesday today. I’ll be reporting to work later so I need to hit the sack. Hay… My long vacation is over. I need to go and face the music of real life.
If some women are into shoes, some men are into electronics. Television sets, computers, playstations. And just like cars, they love to upgrade them. But you know who wouldn’t want to have a flat screen plasma tv that you can use as a television set, a computer and a gaming station. If you come to think of it, that would be a very convenient piece of appliance right. Less space occupied and less wires! Hmmm… Now why didn’t I think of that?
Weng and I went to eat at Red Moon last Thursday. You know if there is one thing that I like about having chicken pox is getting the opportunity of spending sometime with my friends. Bad thing is, I don’t get to do my job for 2 weeks. Sheesh… You know there really is a good and a bad side of things. Even the full moon. It’s beautiful and romantic for the hopeless romantic but means a bad catch for the fishermen. But I guess that’s what keeps the world in balance.
It’s funny how kids make friends. They just step up to someone and bam they begin to play together. No questions on who they are, what they do and where they come from. In short, no judgements. Although there are some moments when they would fight and most of the time it’s because of toys but in the end of the they, they’re still friends. And funny thing is they would even exchange toys! Hay, I wish that we can be like kids. You know just take things as it is. No pretensions. No judgements.
I went out to Pier One last night with some friends from work. We went there for one of our friends had a problem. A love problem. After getting the text from my friend asking me to help her console our other friend it made me stop and ask myself, do we really need to go through all the pain that we can get in a relationship. I mean, isn’t it enough that you love one another. Why should there be fights. Fights about petty things that can easily be avoided by talking and compromise. Sheesh…
You know sometimes I really ask myself why some people likes to be care givers. You know, taking care of people that they barely know. But then I am thankful that there are people who does that because there are a lot of people especially kids suffering from illnesses like cerebral palsy who really needs to be looked after. And you know sometimes taking care of a loved one can be really hard emotionally especially if it is your kid who’s sick. So having someone to help you look after them and a professional at that can really be a great help.
A few more days and I will be reporting to work. I just hope most of the scars on my face won’t be as obvious when I report to work. Sigh *_*. Been at home for 6 straight days and I am getting bored. I will be seeing the doctor later. I hope I will be hearing great news. Time for my warm bath…
