Due to the unexpected circumstances of visiting the museums yesterday, Ponsing and I decided to go to Asiatown and have lunch at The Walk. We decided to eat at Mooon Cafe and I called up Weng if she wants to join us. She then brought Bena with her. Ponsing had their Mexican Pork Ribs, I had the Barbeque (which cost 120 pesos which I consider expensive for the size of their barbeque was really small considering the price), Weng had Spaghetti with Carbonara sauce and Bena had Fried Chicken Breast with Melted Mozerella. After lunch I decided to go to the office to listen to some calls while waiting for 3PM for our trip to MV Doulos, the floating bookshop. We then left for the bookshop at 4PM and arrived at the pier at around 4:30 PM (?) due to traffic. So after the struggle to board the ship due to the weirdest stairs that I have ever seen in my entire life we finally saw the books that they have on sale. Most of the books are available here in the Philippines but I got to say that it was indeed cheaper compare to the books that you will find in the books stores here. Although the difference isn’t as big as I expected it to be, a few peso difference is still money saved. My friends and I decided to go back there before it leaves for Manila in February to get more books.
So to sum the day up, it was a well spent day for I had the opportunity to spend time with my friends, get to board MV Doulos and do some work in the office. Oh and by the way, try the cookies that they have on sale. It’s delicious and big. hehehe…
Alright, I mentioned that Ponsing and I are going to visit some museums yesterday. And so, our first stop is the museum in USP. When he mentioned this museum, I then remembered that I saw it on tv and so I was pretty excited to go there. However, we were not able to get into the museum for it’s closed and they said that we need to setup an appointment. Wow, I didn’t know that appointments are needed to see artifacts! Although, I wasn’t really sure if I just missed the part about setting up appointments when I saw it on TV but the point there is how can you call it public when you need to setup an appointment. Am I naive or what? But anyway, so as not to ruin our day, we went to the Jose Rizal Library and Museum in Fuente but to our dismay, the museum has been closed for renovation for three years now. Whoah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are just two of the many listed museums in Cebu but I am a bit worried for if the majority of the museums here in Cebu are closed then there is a great possibility that there is a very small population who are interested in knowing their history in the Philippines. And I just realized that we don’t even have a museum in my hometown itself. OMG! I don’t know about you but I really find that alarming. And it’s ashame that we do not have a museum there for I think our town has a great history and culture. If you go there, you will meet people with different ancestry. You will meet people who have ancestries from Itas, Chinese to Spaniards which means that there had been a lot of people who went and settled there. And am afraid that a lot of kids there doesn’t even know how our town became the capital city of Samar since I don’t know when, when it became a city just last year.
Some people think that getting a beautiful face and a perfect body is the answer to all of their insecurities. That if they only have a better shaped nose or a pouting lips will make them more confident. Since not everyone is blessed with a perfect body and not everyone has a beautiful face, some people will consider and will even undergo surgical procedures like breast augmentation uk style to correct what they think as an imperfection. However, human as we are, we can never be satisfied with what we have and getting what we want will not always make us happy. People in the cosmetic surgery industry knows that and they know people changes their mind very so often that sometimes what they are dying to have now may not be what they want in the end of the day. But what makes a surgical company like MYA Cosmetic Surgery stand out is knowing what client needs and so they have a free consultation where you get to talk to a trained patient coordinator who can discuss and answer questions that you may have about a procedure that you want to have before getting into a commitment. You then get to talk to a surgeon who will explain what needs to be done and explain it even further to make sure that by the time you have made up your mind and see the result of the procedure is exactly what you wanted it to be. After the surgery, the company then sets up follow up appointments with a registered nurse and your dedicated surgeon to make sure that everything is proceeding as it should be, which I believe is very important when you have undergone a procedure for our body needs to adopt to the change and sometimes, our body’s reaction maybe different from how other people which may bring out some worries in our end.
