Oscar de la Renta may not be as popular as Loius Vuitton to the younger generations but he definitely is one of the fashion world’s icons.  I guess the reason why his designs does not get that much attention from the youngsters it’s because of his reservations on working with actresses who has a big influence to the new generation.  Fashionistas nowadays, would love to get what the stars are wearing. Which is a bit weird for isn’t fashion an expression of ones personality?    Although this designer’s aim was to dominate the ready-to-wear industry, he is known today as the designer who dresses the first ladies of the US like Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush.  I think it’s because his clothes are so classy and more of the clothes that you wouldn’t want to wear on just about any day.  For they are so special and has that personal touch even if he is now starting to open boutiques in certain places to reach his clients.
