One thing that makes me think twice in buying a product online or from shopping networks is I am not sure if I will be getting the product exactly as seen on TV or online. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t buy things off the internet or from shopping networks though. I still do for not all products or producers doesn’t deliver what they promised. As a matter of fact, am planning to get the Ultimate chopper that I saw on the Home Shoppers Network. However, a traditionalist as I am, I love buying products from the store and off the shelves itself for I can inspect them and check them out right then and there. I guess you could say that I am not big fan of what you see is what you get phrase. Am more of a try it to believe it kinda person. hehehe…
Shutter 2008 is a remake of a Thai horror flick which has the same title. It is about a guy who had a girlfriend who can’t take the relationship is over and so she keeps on following him around. The guy was forced to talk to his male friends about it and so they came up with a plan to come up with something that they can black mail her with if she keeps on following the guy around. One thing led to the other. The guy’s friends ended up raping his ex but he just stood there. He didn’t rape the girl but he didn’t do anything to stop it from happening as well. Few years past, the group moves on, guy gets a new girl and suddenly strange things started happening. In the end, the guy confesses to his new girlfriend and he ended saying “I didn’t do anything!”. Yup he didn’t. He didn’t rape the girl alright but he didn’t do anything to stop it either. He just stood there. What am I getting at? Sometimes, we tend to ignore the wrong things around us. For at times, we would think that if it doesn’t concern us, why bother. As long as we are not the one’s doing the wrong thing, our conscience is clear. However, sometimes when we put our foot firmly on the ground we can prevent bad things to become worst. We should realize that sometimes, big mistakes are committed when we stand still.
A friend once asked me where he can download mac games I told him I haven’t have the slightest idea. Well, what would you want me to tell him? I never used a Mac before he asked me about it. In fact, I never used a Mac… Well, at least not after Wena got hers. When she got her Mac, she showed it to me and had me meddle with it for a while. That’s also the time that I learned that there is a Classic solitaire for mac just like in Windows. Yes, yes, yes I am a novice when it comes to Mac products but that doesn’t mean I am not a fan of the company. Truth is I long to get an iPod myself for I do love to listen to music. Although there are products out there which replicated the features of the iPod, I still love to get an iPod. I guess it’s because I trust the brand. I know that it’s not like the other products out there that breaks easily. And besides there are ipod games too that you can download in case you feel tired of listening to music while waiting for the plane for instance or while waiting for your date or friends who can’t seem to tell the time when you have agreed to meet up and so ends up late for a couple of minutes or much worst, a couple of hours.
I went out with the Principle and the Dean of the racists and Mr. Anime to the mall. We helped out Mr. Anime pick out some clothes and a new pair of shoes and saw the Master of the Racists himself there. At 8 Pm we decided to have dinner at Shakey’s Ayala and guess what? The people there think that our money was not good enough for them for after giving as the Menu, nobody seemed to care about getting our orders. Wow! And so my friends and I decided to get out of the place and went to KFC instead. And get this, when we order for a bucket meal, they said they run out of CHICKEN! Wow! As in W-O-W! KFC a fastfood chain whose main product is made of CHICKEN run out of CHICKEN! Bravo! And so we decided to get out of Ayala, which happened to be my favorite mall in Cebu and went to Alberto’s Pizza in front of Vicente Sotto Medical Hospital. I have heard great things about the said pizza house and so we decided that it’s time to prove it. And so for 379 pesos, we had 2 11 inch pan pizza topped with bacon, ham, pepperoni, ground meat, tomato sauce, basil, green peppers, loads of onions and cheese ( a lot of it) and a bottle of Royal (a Coca-Cola product) for dinner. Whew! I never felt as full as I was last night for the longest time! What a way to end such a bad experience from my two favorite establishments and now I am thinking if I should go back to Shakey’s and KFC in Ayala. I mean talk about great customer service!
I don’t know if you have heard about Westgate. But they’re like one of the big resorts if not the biggest in the US. They have great resorts located in Florida, Missouri, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah and Virginis. So that made me wonder how Westgate Center located in Alabang related to the Westgate company in the US. While the Westgate in the US are resorts, Westgate Center is a mall that is more park like than a mall. Too bad I was not able to see it when I went to Manila last summer.
It’s confirmed. I need to work on my relationship skills and how I communicate to others. Sometimes, it is not enough to tell the naked truth and it is not always true that showing who you really are is the best thing to do. Hay… Sometimes I feel sad being a supervisor. It’s like being in the entertainment world where all eyes are on you. Scrutinizing every move and every word you say. And what’s worst, people wpuld either misunderstand what you meant or give a different meaning to it. At times I feel that people are just waiting for me to make a mistake. Why can’t people understand that I do the things that I do not because I want to hurt somebody or to show that I am the best person there is? I do what I do because I want to do it and maybe along the way help other people. Hay… PEOPLE!
I was supposed to name this article as Untitled for I can’t seem to come up with the appropriate title for it. It’s been a couple of days since my last published article and Wena complained about it earlier. Hay, it’s one of those times when I feel that I don’t have enough time to do the things that I want to do or even do the things that I needed to do. It’s like I’ve been spending more time awake and neglecting my sleep and yet I don’t feel I am able to do the things that I needed to do. Is it just about managing my time or is it because I just have too much things to do? I don’t know. But I’m really trying hard to do all of it. How I admire some folks from work for they seem to manage their tasks and their time well. I guess it’s because they’re really good when it comes to multitasking, a skill that I have yet to develop. I tried scrubbing toto and listen to calls at the same but to no avail. It’s either I lose track of the punches of my team or I lose track of what was the discussion between the agent and the customer. And so, I end up either going through the punches again or playing the recordings over and over again. The result, I spend more time in the office than I should just to get things done. I try to report to work an hour before my shift starts then go home an hour after (which causes me to not get to work on time on some days) but still, I feel that I was not able to accomplish enough. Whoah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How I wish I’ll be like Edward in the movie Twilight. Imagine, you don’t sleep… EVER! I can really use that in my line of work. But minus the blood sucking part though (ewww), the immortality part and the reading of other people’s mind (Why? That will be for a different article).
December 3 is Wink-wink’s birthday and it was his last day of work last night. So we, Wink-wink, the dean, the prinicpal of the racists and I went on videoke. They had beer and we had loads of fries. Then we went to Orange Brutus for Wink-wink decided to buy us a chocolate roll. While having the chocolate roll, we had a very long conversation and as usual I was laughing my heart out. These three racists never failed to make me laugh at their stories. It’s just sad that Wink-wink will be leaving, I mean left the company. But anyhow, Happy Birthday Wink-wink and Good luck! (Just make sure you won’t become an agent for another call center company for that will truly break my heart.)
