Let’s sit and chat for a while

   Posted by: michy   in General

You know sometimes it’s good to go online and meet people.  Chat sites like LDS Chat City will give you an opportunity to meet people from different cultures and different background.  I used to chat a lot with people from other places and exchanged email addresses but now I kinda grew out of it.  Not that my experience in meeting these people were bad, it’s just that I am too lazy to keep in touch.  Sometimes I can go and talk to them for like hours and exchange emails with them for a couple of months but in the end I just stop altogether.  I’m not really sure why.  I guess it had reached to a point when we should have met in person so that we get a chance to assess one another and get a chance to decide whether a certain topic is suitable for us to discuss.  I don’t know if you will agree with me but there will always be a time that you and your friends just run out of things to talk about or run out of things to say to one another so in the end just by sitting beside one another without saying a word is enough to keep the friendship going.  I guess that’s what webcam chats can do for you.  Through webcam chats like the Latter Day Saint webcams you get to see the expression of your friend that will help you know what their opinion about a certain topic.

Why can’t things work out as they’re supposed to?

   Posted by: michy   in General

January 1, 2009. 7 AM (Philippine time) and I am still in the office from my shift.  I needed to stay in the lounge to make necessary changes on my blog since I don’t have internet access at home.  I just don’t know how long it would take for them to reinstall my internet access but I’m pretty sure it will have to wait until the holidays are over before I get any service back.  Hayyy… what a way to start the New Year.  You know, I wouldn’t mind staying in the lounge for a couple of hours if only it’s not this cold.  And when I say it’s cold here, it’s really cold.

First day at work

   Posted by: michy   in General

First day at work… Technically, yes this is my first day since I was in vacation for 8 days.  A couple of things have changed in the office.  Some processes and I saw a couple of  new faces.  We had a party for the New Year.  We had fireworks and a band who played a couple of songs.  I made a few trips to the wash room since I had to increase my water in take due to my colds.  My trips to the wash room reminded me of the faucet on our water dispenser at home which we had to return to our supplier for distilled water since our contract with them has expired.  Hay… I need a water dispenser soon or else I will end up dehydrated due to lack of liquid in take.

Back to reality again

   Posted by: michy   in General

I arrived from Samar last December 30th.  I was a bit glad because I will finally get to have unlimited access to the internet but to my dismay, it wasn’t working.  Why? because apparently, I was not able to pay my bill on time.  Great!

But, looking at the brightside, I get to spend time with my family even if I worked for a couple of hours while I was on vacation.  Not that I am complaining.  Well, the truth is I do not have the right to complain for it was partly my fault.  But anyhow, I got through some of my tasks with the help of some  reliable friends.  Thank God for that!

So now I am back to my real world.  My world of taking calls and helping out agents to keep track of their performance.  A world of no sleep and hunger (not because you don’t have the ability to buy food but because there are days when eating  would just get in the way of what you are doing).

Casino for the lazy folks…

   Posted by: michy   in General

Holidays are here and many of my acquaintances are feeling lucky.  Hehehe… So invitations to go to the casinos are coming in.  However, for lazy people like me, online slots or slot machines online will be very much preferred than dressing up and go to the nearest casino.  At least when you’re online you get to try out different kind of slot machines from different parts of the world like uk slots even when you are in the Philippines. Hehehe…

I think William sent me a very big file.  Sheesh and I am supposed to download 9 files.  WTF!

I’m home but not really on vacation

   Posted by: michy   in General

Sheesh, yes I am home but I needed to do some work.  Geesh… Not that I’m complaining, it’s just that it is a bit difficult to follow up on things when your access to the internet is limited.  I mean, I can’t communicate with the folks from the office and my access to my files is limited as well.  I downloaded some files that I will work on at home, I just hope that I can access it later.  Hay…

We’re a few hours away ’til Christmas but I will have to stay here for a while so that I can chat with some guys from work.  I just hope they’re there.

One thing about being home

   Posted by: michy   in General

Well, one disadvantage about being home is, I don’t have internet access.  I will have to go to a cafe just to have access to the internet.  I don’t mind using a different computer what I don’t like is the waiting part.  On ordinary days, the wating could be lesser.  But on days like Christmas Eve, the waiting can go as long as an hour.  Kids may not have a job for their games but during Christmas season they can have more money than any of us.  Funny but true.  And really, days like these, it makes me regret not getting the Visibility pack of Globe or the Prepaid Smart Bro service which I could take anywhere.  huhuhu…

Game Sharing

   Posted by: michy   in General

It is really nice to have versions of Mac games that you can play in a windows based computer. As nice as having Windows based games that you can play in a Mac computer.  Just like the New Star Soccer 4, originally a Windows based game; it can now be played in a Mac for there is Mac version of the game now.  This game is almost like The Sims where the player needs to balance his work and social life.  However, in Star Soccer 4, the game simulates the life of a soccer player.  This means that part of the game will be played playing Soccer and the rest will be about living life outside the soccer field.   Which can include your training and of course your girl friend, something that sports icons can’t seem to live without.
Aside from sports inspired games, there are other games like adventure games that you can play both in a Mac and a Windows based computer too.  Games like Summer Session, a dating simulation that has funny dialogues and captivating plots.  The Lux Deluxe, a game of strategy and domination which was inspired by the board game Risk.  Another example is Machines at War, a game for those who fancies commanding an army of forces across a battle field.  This is a real time strategy game which has destructible terrains that makes it more interesting.  But for me the best Mac games would be the games that you can play with a group of friends.  Like Counter Strike where one can just set up a came and your friends will connect to a network or the internet for them to play with you.  I am not sure though if the manufacturers of the game made a version of it to run on a Mac but I do hope that they did.  For it doesn’t really matter how beautiful a game is when you play it, what matters is the opportunity to play the game with your friends.  So I wonder if it would be possible to play a game with a friend over a local network or the internet when your friend is using a Mac while you are using a Windows based computer.  Hmmm…

Home sweet home…

   Posted by: michy   in General

There really is no place like home.  I’ve have gone to a lot of places and met different people but what they say is true.  You can never find a place like home.  It may not be as beautiful as the hotels and the resorts that I went to and had to do most of the chores on my own but I will never exchange it for anything. For here at home, I don’t have to be anybody for people to like me and I know they do not pretend to be somebody else just for me to like them.  They are who they are as I am who I am.  Not that I pretend to be somebody else when I am with other people.  I just try not to be brutally honest for I have learned a long time ago that there are times that being honest about how you feel is always the best way to go.  And that there are times that when people ask you a question, they don’t really want to hear what you really think about the subject.  SOmetimes, people just want to hear a confirmation.  They want to hear what they wanted to hear and gets hurt when they hear something else.
