I was listening to Killer B a local station in Cebu and a song that Jason Miraz released in 2006 was played and Angel one of their DJs commented that married couples usually build a shared bank account. She said that if ever she’ll get married, she will not have a shared account with her husband for what if things won’t work out. Well, she has a point. But why do couples go for a joint account? Beats me… I guess some people do take the two become one thing too literally. Hahaha… but you know that’s a good thing. Although, putting a bit aside for yourself is not a bad thing too. ‘coz what if things don’t turn out as both of you had planned it to be, right? Not that I’m encouraging you to become selfish but what if you get to have kids and your husband/wife takes everytihing with him/her and left the kids in your care and you suddenly lost your job, how will you take care of yourself and your kids. However, both parties should agree on this. To aviod conflicts, I suggest that if a couple will agree to have this kind of arrangement, they should agree how much money are they going to put aside for themselves. It should be equal to be fair to each other. That way it will not become the reason of any arguments. Because money is really a petty thing to fight about.

Name that procedure…
Don’t you ever wonder how people came up with the names of the cosmetic procedures that we have today? Names like Bangkok Beauty and all that. I don’t know if that applies to other places but in the Philippines, people will know where you had your procedure done by the name used to describe the new you. Like when you say Bangkok beauty, it means you had something done in Bangkok. Which is kinda interesting because it’s not obvious which part of you was enhanced. So people who hears that will have to make their imagination run to know which part of you was changed. Although using names like Houston breast implants will be a better way to name the implants that will be used for any procedures. Because as a consumer, you will have an idea which is the best manufacturer of such products. Remember that implants are foreign objects that are added into our bodies so it is important that we know that they are safe and of good quality. It is as important as knowing that who ever will be doing the procedure is a competent doctor. We definitely wouldn’t want to have the nightmares that happened to some people who have undergone some procedures and ended up regretting that they even thought of going under the knife. So if you’re planning to get something done like having some collagen added to your lips to have lips like Angelina Jolie, I truly recommend that you research on it before rolling it out. Keep in mind that we only have one life to live and the reason why we make decisions like these is to make us feel better about ourselves not the other way around.
With all the things that is going on right now, prices of commodities going up, the conflict in Mindanao, the rush at work and everything else just makes me want to be indifferent to the political events going on in the Philippines. I guess it’s because like most Filipinos, am just tired of listening to the politicians in my country. It’s like everybody wants to get the attention of the public. They would usually come up with an issue (which can be as corny as making an issue out of policitians making advertisements for a certain product) and do a committee hearing on it (thank God nobody agreed on having a hearing on politicians making ads) and then a few days later, when things are starting to clear things out, names of big people gets dragged into the issue and the public is hooked into the issue and people are reacting to it, another senator or congressman will make noise which will attract the attention of the public which, as you know will kill the previous issue that was raised. Well, yeah, as a citizen of this country, I would want to know what’s going on and truly appreciates the fact that there are people who goes through the trouble to let the people know but, can we please resolve one issue at a time? Sheesh! With all these things coming out at the same time, nothing gets resolved because the attention and resources gets divided. At times, I just feel that the people involved don’t really have to do anything aside from wait for another attention hungry politcian to make noise to make their issue disappear from the eyes of the public. @#%^&^$%&
Indifferent? Nah, truth is I’m still doing what every citizen should be doing for his/her country. Work, pay my taxes and vote during elections and hope that someday, we all become smart enough when we choose the people who will lead the country and that INTEGRITY will prevail when it’s time to count the votes.
Saturday, 13th of September 2008. This is the day after I had a slide shift. This means I reported to work at 8PM Thursday night and went out at 7AM Friday and went back to work at 1PM later that afternoon to attend a training (sheesh!). But anyway, I’m still glad I did attend the training for it’s relevant to my position and got to meet other people from the company which is always a bonus for me. Aside from the fact that I get to make new aquaintances, it also confirms the fact that you really belong to a multi-national company that has over 12,000 employees and how many thousands more around the globe. Although things like these also means you have to mingle with people that you have met before that you don’t like. Life really has two sides of everything. IF you have people that you like, there will always be people that you don’t like… Hay…
Anyway, I woke up feeling sick today. It’s like I was coming down with a fever but I guess it was just because of the messed up body clock due to the sudden change of schedule. My arm was feeling a bit sore, I just don’t know why. My body temp was not normal (comparing it with the other times that I woke up), my mind still wants to hit the sack but my body is alrady sore of lying in bed so I’d rather get up and do something else. Times, like these makes me remember my mom’s reaction when I tell her about my schedule. She would always ask if I can get through it. Well, yeah I can get through it alright but it’s the day after that I, well… kinda had a difficulty getting through with. And when I kinda push things to the limit makes me remember the line that goes, “something’s gotta give”. But hey, I chose to do this and am enjoying it so I have to deal with it. Right? And oh, as if messing up my body clock isn’t enough, I have agreed to have a six work day this week. I will reporting to work on Monday to attend a meeting. Sheesh! And another thing, I forgot to send my confirmation for attending the business meeting on the 30th… Oh my! My boss is going to kill me when I tell her on Monday. Whoah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
