Make sure it’s registered and approved!

   Posted by: michy   in General

I guess a lot of you have heard people who have tried Xenical, a fat eliminator, say that it is effective, which makes a lot of people want to try it out.  Well, like what I always say I don’t have anything against that.  All I can say is if you want to try out diet pills I suggest that you go for products that are FDA (if in the US) or BFAD (if in the Philippines) approved like Xenical and Alli especially if you will be trying out non-prescription drugs.  This is important for these departments are the ones that regulate the drugs and food products that are sold to consumers like us to make sure that these products are safe for consumption.  So if you buy a product always look for the seal of these departments as a proof that these products were registered and approved.

Happy Bithday Wafa!

   Posted by: michy   in General

September 27th is the birthday of Wafa, one of my close friends in the office.  She became a close friend through Weng.  Wafa and Weng went to Kawasan falls in Badian, Cebu and they liked the place so much that Wafa decided to go back there to celebrate her birthday.  And so, after having breakfast with my team at Mcdonald’s after our shift, Ed picked me up to go to Jollibee near Metro Colon to meet up with Wafa, Weng and the rest of the party.  Then at 10 o’clock, off we went to Kawasan Falls.  After a two hour van ride from Cebu City, we started the 30 minute walk ((which became an hour walk due to some photo ops) to Wafa and Weng’s fave spot.  The walk was so relaxing.  The smell of the fresh air into your lungs, the sound of the water running down the stream.  Hay…  Now, I feel energized again.  I can’t wait to go back to work and do what needs to be done.  I now agree to what they say.  We should always stop and smell the flowers every now and then.  To Wafa Happy Birthday!  And thank you for bringing me to Kawasan Falls.  It was one heck of an experience.

How to look gorgeous on the beach…

   Posted by: michy   in General

The answer is to have the right stuff when you go to the beach.  Having a body to die for like Jeniffer Lopez’s is probably one of the major consideration of the ladies to wear swimsuits on the beach.  This maybe a personal opinion though but nevertheless, one advise that I could give to you my dear readers on how to be gorgeous on the beach is the same advise that our fashion gurus give to fashionistas…  Go for something that will enhance the assets that you have.  Meaning, hide what needs to be hidden and show what needs to be shown.  But keep in mind that showing is different from spilling.  If you are blessed with a big bust line go for a style that will cover most of it like a halter top.  And always cover your buns.  NEVER EVER WEAR A THONG ON THE BEACH!  I remember a line of Audrey Hepburn were she said that to keep the attention of your audience, you have to remain mysterious.  Meaning, don’t show everything.  Just show enough to mystify them and then leave some details for their imagination.  That way, they will keep on thinking about you.  Now a tip for the ladies who has flabs like mine, don’t lose hope.  You can still wear a swimsuit to the beach.  I suggest that you go for a tankini.  It shows enough skin but hides the rest.  Hehehe…

Why? Why? Why?

   Posted by: michy   in Rumblings

So why is it that there are some people who still feel left out even if the people around him/her are trying their best to accomodate him/her?  And why is it that some people can never be pleased with the accomplishments that you have?  Is it really because they are hard to please or is it just because they don’t like you succeeding in your field or you going over those who are close to them?  If so why?  Are they mad because of all the people who could have accomplished something it was you who got things done?  But why?  Why would anybody feel that way?  Could it be because they see you as a threat to themselves?  Or could it be that its you who has the problem?  That everything is just in your mind.  If so why?  Why do these things enter your mind?  Is it because of the actions of others that you have observed or may have misunderstood?  Or is it things are starting to get into your mind that you begin to see yourself as a somebody?  And why is it that people has unspoken rules?  Why can’t people put things into black and white so that the people around them will stop guessing on how to act?  And why do we sometimes feel that our proactiveness is thought of as bypassing authority?  Or is just another unspoken rule that we should be aware of?  An unspoken rule on acting on your own free will?  Why do people at times just lose hope when things like these happen?  Why do the feeling of acceptance or belonging mean a lot to people?  Why do we care so much that people will come up say you did well?  Why is it that everytime you feel that other people does not appreciate what you do, you just want to go away from it all? Get away from the people who pretend that they care but don’t.  Why does it hurt so much to see people say that they are happy for you but you can see it in their eyes that they’re not.  Why can’t we be happy for others?  Why can’t we appreciate other people? Why?  Why do we pretend?  Why do we need to pretend?  Why?

Knobs can say a lot of things.

   Posted by: michy   in General

industrial knobs Isn’t it annoying when you try to open a cabinet or a door and the knob is broken?  I remember this advert of Tide, a popular brand of a detergent bar where they are trying to emphasis how important to have a proper handle on a lot of things can make life easier for those who are using it.  So they came up with a bar soap with a contour that served as a handle.  Which is why I love the company that I work with, for our facilities department made sure that everything is in order.  From the faucets that we have to the industrial knobs that are placed on our cabinets and specially on the doors that we have since we can’t leave it open all the time for security reasons.  As an employee, I guess one thing that we should always take into consideration, aside from the benifits that our company is giving us, is the convenience and the security that they provide to their employee.  For through simple things like having a working equipment and secured work place all the time shows that the company truly cares about its employees.

Go ahead and cry…

   Posted by: michy   in Rumblings

One thing that I have learned in life, is to just keep your mouth shut if you don’t want to get into trouble.  Just shut up and cry your heart out when you’re alone.  Keep it all to yourself if you don’t want people to know.  For feelings can dissipate.  You might be mad now but eventually it will all go away.  Unlike conflicts.  Conflicts are harder to deal with.  So just cry your heart out for in the end it’s only your eyes that’s going to be sore and it will eventually heal. So cry.  Just cry.  Everybody cries anyway.  Cry and hope that tomorrow when you wake up things will be better.  The people and the things that you are mad about may still be there but hopefully the feelings will be gone and you will be able to look them in the eyes again as if nothing happened.  Cry! Cry your heart out!  Write your worries in a piece of paper and burn it to ashes so that nobody will know.  So that nobody will tell.  Just cry.  And hope that the tears that you shed will eventually wash everything away…

Again fate had reminded me…

   Posted by: michy   in General

Today our friend fate has reminded me how a simple act of carelessness can lead into a tragedy.  It had also taught me to be thankful for who and what I am.  I have never been so glad about my over compulsiveness until today.  For because of this trait I tend to follow the rules to the dot.  I am also glad that I gave interest to my electronics subject back when I was in highschool and that I listen to my dad when he teaches me about stuff because I have learned some safety tips on how to avoid electrical accidents.  If it was not for these things, I could have burned my hand or worse I could have electricuted myself if I was holding the wire instead of the plug when I was plugging an electronic device into an electrical outlet.  When I was plugging in the plug, the wires of the extension unit had shortcircuited.  Whew!  Hearing the big pop and the smoke on my left hand gave me quiet a scare.  I was in a bit of a shock looking at my blackened hand.  So let this be a lesson to all of us.  Always remember that a small act of safety can avoid big tragedies.

Could this be it?

Yes I got the same kind. And it's also pink!

Stanley Vacuum Bottle!I went to the office today even if it was my rest day to monitor some calls for it’s the end of the month and I need to do some catching up.  I have spent four hours of my rest day in the office an hour of which was spent waiting for the tool to open up.  Sheesh!  There were a few people when I arrived for I made sure that it was the end of the shift so that I can get a station to work in.  Penny was there and he called me when he saw me,  I was like “yes…?”  He opened a lateral and handed me a box and a certificate.  I was like what is this for?  He said “read the paper…” (what a friend huh?) He can be annoying sometimes but in a good way.  So I read it.  It’s an R and R for performance from our clients.  It turned out they had an awarding last night and the representative from our clients who arrived from the US brought some giveaways.  Along with the certificate is a Stanley Vacuum Bottle!  What a surprise!  My mom has been bugging me about getting one of these things so that I can have a hot drink everyday and I have been wishing to get one but can’t afford to get one and so God made a way.  God is really good!  He always gives me what I need in the right timing.  Could this be?  Could this be the surprise that my stars have told me that I have wrote about?  Wow!  It is indeed a good surprise.  But I pray that there will be a room for another one for I do have this one prayer that I would want to come true before the end of the month.  My CSat score!  I hope it will increase before the month ends.  I only have 8 surveys and it’s not looking pretty well.  Lord if it’s not too much to ask, please, please give me more top boxes. Please…

How to remain connected when traveling…

   Posted by: michy   in General

unlocked-cell-phones One of the worries of traveling outside the country is how to stay connected to the people that you work with and to your love ones back home. Although, there are a lot of choices to choose from, having a cell phone with you is in my opinion, the best way to stay connected.  And thank God for our technology nowadays, our network service providers can now provide international roaming services to enable us to use our cell phone lines outside of the country.  However, it will still be a good idea to have an unlocked cell phone (these are cell phones that allows you to insert sim cards of any network companies) with you when you go outside of the country. That way you won’t be incommunicado when the roaming service of your network is unavailable. All you need to do, is buy a sim card of a local network provider in the country you’re in and insert it into your phone! Easy right?! And it’s quiet convenient too, for you don’t need to buy a new phone when your roaming service goes unavailable in the countries that you go to.  So go to a cell phone store now and ask about unlocked cell phones. Cell phone companies like Nokia, Motorola, Sony and Samsung has a wide range of phones to choose from. But do choose wisely. Choose the phone that has the features that you truly need.
